Compassionate, in-depth, relational therapy
…for those seeking change and well-being through embodied awareness.
Amira Glickman, (she/her)
Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate
Supervised by Gena St. David
Life is unpredictable and, at times, overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Taking steps to seek assistance with emotional challenges is both courageous and taps into innate resiliency and self-trust. You might be feeling stuck, numb, anxious, avoidant or simply have a vague but pressing sense of wanting things to be different. Perhaps you are very aware of what needs to change but are struggling to find a path towards more ease and well-being.
I deeply believe that when we are allowed to slow down and make gentle contact with what wants to be known and felt within the container of a caring and attuned therapeutic relationship transformation naturally occurs.
I am dedicated to providing an anti-oppressive and trustworthy healing space where all aspects of identity and experience can be explored with genuine care and respect.
TRAINING & APPROACH
My therapeutic orientation is informed by the intersection of mindfulness, relational and somatically based approaches. I received my Masters in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University; a Buddhist institution which integrates the knowledge of Western Psychology with the discipline and wisdom of Eastern spiritual practice.
